Statue Construction

The size of statues and temples has derived from very ancient size called atom. Manankulam, thaalam vithasti, hastam viral or thacchu mulam, kisku, prajapathyam thanur musti, thanur graham, thanjai mulam, madurai mulam, chidambara mulam are some of the dimensions of the Hindu God

There is a size restriction for making the statue by name padimam. Thaalam is the face height of a statue. Such statue has a face height of one thaalam and total height of 10 thaalams. For example, Natarajar statue is made to 11 to 12 thaalam in general practice
